Where do I start?
All accounts start by signing up for the free Starter plan. This plan is free, with no expiry date, and doesn't need a credit card. The Starter plan is limited to a single user and a total of 5 active (unarchived) scripts. This plan is designed to suit individuals working on a single project, or as a first step for larger teams to understand and evaluate Testpad.
Is there a free trial period?
The Starter Plan is free forever and can be used by individuals to evaluate Testpad. The paid plans don't have free trial periods but are very cost effective and can be upgraded/downgraded/canceled at any time.
Which plan should I go for?
Try it and see! Plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any time, even between the Custom Team (per-user pricing) and the other plans (script bundle pricing). If you have a few users but lots of projects and scripts, go for the Custom Team. If you have a lot of potential users, with not so many scripts, go for a script bundle. If you're not sure, try one and see if it works.
What does the script limit mean?
The script-bundle pricing plans (Small, Growing and Large Team) are limited by the number of active scripts. Active scripts are the scripts that have not been archived. If a script is archived, it doesn't count towards the usage total. If a project has been archived, its scripts don't count.
Can I upgrade or downgrade on a monthly plan?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Monthly plans will be billed at the new rate on the next billing date.
Can I upgrade or downgrade on an annual plan?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes to annual plans are handled as a cancellation of the existing plan (with partial refund for unused months) and the beginning of a new plan (with a charge of the new annual rate). The annual billing date becomes the day the upgrade or downgrade happened.
How long a contract am I signing up for?
Monthly plans are pay as you go and you can cancel at any time. Annual plans are, well, annual; they can be canceled at any time but you are responsible for any payments you have already made, we don't refund unused months.
How can I pay?
You can pay by most major Credit Cards or PayPal. If you would like to pay by a different method, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What about VAT or sales tax?
All prices exclude VAT or sales tax in regions where these apply. If they do apply, they will be added to the subscription price and itemised separately on your receipts.
Can I get a refund?
Monthly plans can be simply canceled and we won't charge you again. For annual plans, we will refund for unused months if downgrading to another annual paying plan. We do not refund for unused days or months when plans are canceled.
Can I get a discount?
The annual rates of the script-bundle plans represent a saving of at least 14% over the monthly rates. Contact email@example.com if you want to discuss larger plans.
How safe is my data?
Really safe. Testpad is hosted on Amazon EC2 on instances located in separate availability zones. The database is replicated three ways and is backed-up to Amazon S3 storage every hour.
How can I import/export data?
Import data into a script by using the Edit menu's Import option, which lets you copy'n'paste a list of test cases. To get data out, use the Script menu's Export as CSV option to export a whole script and its results and meta-data.
